Few Ways You Can Increase Your Testosterone Levels

Testosterone is an important hormone in men as it defines manhood. It is a hormone that is responsible for bringing out the male physical features that turn a boy into a man. It is also responsible for stimulating sexual desire, increasing libido, ensuring sexual satisfaction and it heightens arousal. When a man can’t sexually satisfy himself or the partner, he will seek to use drugs or Viagra substitutes. However, having low or high testosterone levels in the body can happen due to various reasons, and it can cause health problems. Most men will shy away from getting treatment for it, and this makes matters worse.

There are natural ways that one can use to increase the testosterone levels in the body, and these are:

1. Intermittent fasting

This is one of the best natural ways that will help boost the increase testosterone concentrations in the body. In this kind of fasting, one skips breakfast and gets to eat three other meals, i.e. at noon, 3 pm and at 6 pm. This allows the liver to rest so that it can naturally balance the hormone.

2. Exercising

High-intensity interval training is best for increasing testosterone. Do this kind of exercise at eats three times a week and lift weights at least 30 minutes and this will induce the growth hormone and testosterone release. Studies show that squats, deadlifts and bench presses are the best exercises to stimulate testosterone production. Exercises are much better than taking Viagra substitutes.

3. Liver detox

Liver cleansing is important as the liver plays an important role in the production of the testosterone hormone. When the liver doesn’t function well, it affects the hormone output because the liver holds enzymes that conjugate the 17 beta-hydroxyl group of testosterone.

4. Add healthy fats to your diet

Most men with low testosterone levels usually eat a lot of fatty foods and too much carbohydrate. Healthy fats have low calories, hence when taken with your meals; it increases the serum concentrations of androstenedione and testosterone. Healthy fats include coconut oil, omega-3 fatty acids, avocados, olive oil and almonds and these naturally boost the testosterone levels in the body.

5. Reduce stress

Frustrations, forgiveness, stress and anger issues will add to one having low testosterone levels in the body. The body becomes physically stressed, and it reacts by producing the stress hormone -cortisol- continuously which in turn affects the production of testosterone. Doing away with emotional issues will help cleanse your mind which lowers the cortisol level, hence a high production of testosterone.

6. Taking herbal supplements

Certain herbs have unique properties that assist in increasing testosterone in the body. They are safe to use, and they work by making the liver produce the testosterone hormone. They also lower the cortisol level which disrupts the production of testosterone.

7. Sleep well

Lack of quality sleep reduces the amount of testosterone produced by the body and reduces the muscle growth and fat loss. Sleeping at least 7- 8 hours is related to having an increased amount of testosterone especially early in the morning.

8. Lose weight

When you are obese, you cause the body to have high insulin levels, which affects the testosterone levels. You can exercise, reduce the amount sugar intake and reduce the food portions so that you can lose weight. Being underweight is also not good so get to weigh to a healthy level.

9. Do away with medication

There are some medicines such as opioid drugs, anabolic steroids or Viagra substitutes that will affect the production of testosterone in the body. Don’t stop taking the medicine, but you should talk to your doctor if you see that your sexual level has dropped since you started taking the drugs so that they can give you an alternative.
